I heard the strangest honking bird song the other morning and thought it must be a swan but no, it was the Great Honk Bird |
Wonderful blossom this year |
We have the beginnings of a garden here and have been doing more on the outside of the caravan. We're determined to have a much more cosy winter than last one. |
Ruth has lots of brilliant salads growing at the moment... |
...and loads more stuff ready to plant out. |
And lovely to have Faze with us on the farm helping out with anything and everything in between gong sessions |

Hey Ian and Ruth - just look how your place is coming on, with the garden, the salads, and the yurt - good work!
Your own produce is soooo tasty, isn't it? Our tomatoes are great (and we don't even think of our urine we fed them with) especially with the soft sheep's cheese made by one of neighbours (Joao the shepherd and his wife Manuela) that you will remember, Ian.
At long last you have nice weather, which will surely feel lovely for you after all the rain and damp.
Will you plant some flowers? We put in some marigolds which look very sunny and provide medicine too.
Thinking of you making the most of all that lovely green-ness :-)
Love from Clive and Janet

your place looks fantastic! And I'm intrigued about the gong sessions:-)
Thanks Finny, it's wonderful living amongst all the trees here, you do experience the full force of all the elements though... :-)
Faze is a gong and general legend
best wishes, Ian
Hi Clive and Janet! only just got your comment... thanks the garden and orchard and everything are coming along grand here, we've had a succession of delicious fresh food from early summer. Yes we're finding that flowers fit in very well in the beds and seem to help to keep everything healthy and pests under control, herbs also in the same way. By the way, have you ever looked into Biodynamics? we're exploring all that too, working with the phases of the moon cetainly seems to help, going to try some of the stranger stuff too. Lots of love to you both and the quinta xxxx
